About

Welcome!
I edit nonfiction and fiction books (and drink loads of coffee).
I started One11 Editing back in 2021, and I’m happy to say, it’s been a growing enterprise ever since. I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way, each with a unique manuscript to share with the world. Every story has touched my heart, and I’m grateful for the trust I was given with every single one.
I’m also a recovering middle school teacher. Prior to joining the book editing world, I taught in Gibbons, Alberta for 15 years. I also spent a year on teacher exchange in Esperance, Western Australia—an incredible experience. My years in education made me a multi-tasking, organizational, communication queen!

I live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta. In my free time, you’ll find me curled up with a good book and a extra-large cup of coffee, or heading out on another hiking adventure in the mountains.

My Values

Professionalism
From the beginning to end of a project, all of my communications with you are respectful with the goal of better understanding what you’re looking for in a final product.
Reliability
I strive for zero mechanical errors, and I deliver the finished product on time (and on budget).
Consistency
With me, you can expect the same enthusiastic, reliable editor every time.  I would love to be your go-to editor and content writer!

Education/Professional Experience

I completed my editing certificate through Simon Fraser University, which has been a wonderful investment for me. That program gave me the skills and experience I needed to be an effective book editor, and the confidence to start my own business, One11Editing.

I am certified to perform all four stages of editing: structural editing, stylistic editing, copy editing, and proofreading. Not every manuscript needs to go through all four stages, but each one certainly has its place in making a manuscript the best it can be.

I’ve been a voracious book editor ever since, helping writers shape and polish their manuscripts until they shine. Many nonfiction (and some fiction) projects have found their way to me, building my portfolio of both.
